DataTrans Company Limited is a Polish countrywide data transmission operator offering its services within the confines of a SkyWAN network, which operates, based on the satellite data transmission technology

  DataTrans Company, operating within the legal framework of the Communication Act was incorporated in Poland, as a company with a majority of Polish capital. Apart from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Economy, and Trade House of Science, GTECH Corporation is the company’s foreign partner. GTECH Corporation is a company with great and worldwide experience in operation of all-country on-line systems and transaction transferring systems. DataTrans was established in 1997 by virtue of a concession, granted by the Minister of Communication. The concession allows for provision of all-Poland data transmission services for entities of any type. Following the new telecommunication regulations from 2001 DataTrans undertook steps so as to obtain a title to provide international data transmission systems what finally became possible in April 2001.
